MVZ Studios dance classes are held at the Muswellbrook Indoor Sports Centre.

The dance studio is run by Melissa Van Zeist who was trained to dance by Edward Miller OA, Melissa gained her Solo Seal at the age of 15. She has won numerous awards and travelled to workshops in New York and Honolulu.

Melissa had been teaching and dancing for seven years in Sydney before opening the dance studio -  MVZ Studios in Muswellbrook.

While teaching in Sydney, Melissa danced on a free lance basis for popular DJ Bexta, and at functions including the Annual Sportsman of the Year. She has danced in video clips including Rescue Me from the Earthday album by Australian singer song writer Ian Sandercoe. Appearances in  TV commercials, TV Dramas and a Film and was a back up dancer for Paulini of Australian Idol fame.

Melissa Van Zeist is currently the director of MVZ Dance Studios in Muswellbrook NSW Australia, students who study ballet at the studio achieved excellence at recent ballet examinations. Held by the British Ballet Organisation examinations, each of the 14 students gained a distinction for their performance.

Following the syllabus and teaching of the British Ballet Organisation, discipline is a strong focus. The students take lessons two to three times weekly and have become very strict and composed.

“They do work hard, but they know if you want results like that you have to put the work in,” Ms Van Zeist said.
